Sunrise smoothie recipe

Want to get a quick and easy plant-based breakfast in you before the working day begins, but don’t want to miss out on essential nutrients? A smoothie should be your first choice.

This sunrise smoothie stimulates the senses with natural ingredients, giving you the refreshing wake-up call you need – it’s the food equivalent of taking a morning swim in a crystal-clear, cool lake…

Smoothies are a fantastic way to give your body all the nutrients it needs; a variety of ingredients bring a variety of benefits. Bananas are well known to be rich in potassium – brain food that will prepare you for the day ahead – whilst pineapples contain vital antioxidants, which studies indicate may reduce the risk of a number of diseases. Carrot juice (trust us when we tell you that it complements the other flavours beautifully) contains fibre to regulate blood sugar levels, plus calcium and vitamin K for better bone health. Jamu, the ideal finishing touch, makes maintaining bodily wellness effortless, infusing the beverage with immunity-boosting properties and inspiring soundness of body and mind.

This smoothie is sweet, citrusy and spicy – good health and exquisite flavours go hand in hand! All the different elements balance each other out to form a perfect harmony that lingers on the lips and leaves you wanting more.

Both our Tropical Turmeric and Island Spice jamus add an equally delicious punch of flavour to this recipe, so take your pick and feel free to mix it up from time to time!
