At Good Jamu we believe in the power of nature to bring balance and tranquility to the body. Our company is based on the ancient tradition of jamu, a natural remedy used to prevent and treat disease.
Our founder, Anna, grew up in a Dutch/Moluccan household and grew up with jamu as a daily staple. She was inspired to learn more about its benefits while living in Bali, Indonesia where she had the opportunity to learn from jamu masters and started incorporating it into her daily routine.
Upon returning to the Netherlands, Anna shared her love for jamu with friends and family, and before she knew it, she was making it for their friends as well. Then she got the idea for Good Jamu, a company that brings the ancient tradition of jamu to the modern world.

We believe that using single source ingredients contributes to a better livelihood for the farmers who produce them. The history of the spice trade is not a positive one, and since jamu is an Indonesian heritage, we want to show that things can be done differently by using herbs and spices directly from farmers.
That's why we only use a combination of organic and the freshest, natural ingredients to make plant-based products. We hope to inspire and uplift people with the benefits of using natural remedies that also taste great - like jamu - to maintain wellness.
Jamu is a dying craft. In Indonesia, people no longer have time to make jamu because the preparation process is labor intensive and also not as profitable as it used to be due to the mass production of cheap crops for worldwide consumption. We feel it is our duty to keep this ancient tradition alive in the modern world, and that's what we want to achieve with Good Jamu.
