The Sunrise Smoothie is the perfect way to kickstart your day with a nutritious, plant-based breakfast. Designed to awaken your senses in a refreshing way, this recipe is made with fresh plant based ingredients and a splash of jamu. Sweet, citrussy and spicy, ready in ten minutes.
Banana gives the smoothie its creamy texture and a soft sweetness. Pineapple brings freshness and a light sharpness against it. Carrot juice provides the warm orange colour and an earthy undertone that keeps the fruit in balance.
The last ingredient in this recipe is jamu. Both
Tropical Turmeric and Island Ginger jamu are perfect to use in this recipe, and both provide a delicious taste sensation.
Jamu is a traditional Indonesian herbal drink made with turmeric, ginger and spices. It's the perfect finishing touch to this smoothie: spicy, warm and just enough of a counterweight to the fruit.
This smoothie is sweet, citrusy and spicy, and all the different elements balance each other to form a perfect harmony that lingers on the lips and leaves you wanting more.
Preparation time: 10 minutes Servings : 1 (Vegan)

50ml shot of Island Ginger or Tropical Turmeric jamu
1 banana, broken or chopped
115g pineapple chunks, sliced

1 glass or smoothie glass
Method:
1. Add all ingredients to the blender and blend until smooth.
